Email - Clearing uncleared emails
Log in and go to your Home page. Under 'My Activities', you may see a line item, x email import(s) requiring clearing. Or, click the [Admin] button on the left-side menu, then click [Email sync]. 

If the [Admin] button is not visible, then, from your Home page, click the [Preferences...] tab, then [My modules] and select the []Admin checkbox and [Save ...].

Your uncleared emails latter should be cleared, typically by doing a lookup to locate the contact, then updating the contact profile so that it includes the contact's email address (then save the update). You can then refresh the uncleared list and emails to that contact will have moved to the Activities folder. 

Basics: 

The Uncleared email list gives you the opportunity to ensure email addresses are in your Contact database. It also is a quick way to add new Contact profiles. 

1. From the Home page, click the folder icon beside the 'email import(s) requiring clearing'

2. When the display shows, click [Refresh email clearing list].

3. Click 'Select' beside a target email.

4. Click [Locate] in the bottom left 'Assign email owner' area.

5. Contacts will display and you can click [Search] to locate the contact, but you may have to change the search criteria.

6. If you cannot locate a contact, consider clicking [New] in the Contact list view. That will start a new record with as much info. as can be gleaned from the email address.

7. After creating and saving the new contact or locating the existing contact, ensure the email address of the uncleared email is in one of the email areas on the Contact's profile (you may have to copy/paste it in) then click [OK, use this contact] in the top area of the contact profile.

8. The contact info. will be shown in the bottom left area of the clearing list. Click [Save] to save and clear the email item.

If there are more than one email for that contact, click [Refresh email clearing list] and all the instances will be assigned. 

You can also use the [Open/close the bulk window] to apply clearing actions to groups of emails.
