Getting started - Contacts and Connections | ||
Have a look first at our getting started with contacts page. On the Contacts detail page is a button that links to the contact's connections. A connection is another contact that has some type of relationship with this contact. It could be a company, friend or relative, customer or vendor, or any other kind of relationship. A connection could be a common factor between two contacts. For example, both contacts might be suppliers that provide technology products. Through connections, you and your workgroup can create an unlimited web of relationships and use those relationships to close sales, provide better customer service, speed up group assembly or provide a six degrees of separation view of relationships. A company can set up its own contact record and connect all its employees through the connections functions; it can connect major suppliers and customers the same way; it can explore competitive connections and drill down through several layers of connections to discover unknown relationships.
